The Book Broads were together in full force to debut our “Flog Your Blog” talk at Northern Voice, Canada’s blogging and social media conference. We have so many experiences to share from the weekend and will post those stories as we craft them. Today, we wanted to share Rob Cottingham’s visual notes from our talk. Rob is a talented artist who specializes in cartoons and a generally interesting guy. (Rob and Angela met by chance in the atrium early in the conference and their conversation kept ticking all weekend.) He used a program called Brushes Autodesk SketchBook Pro on his iPad to create these notes. Pretty cool, eh?

I’m so glad you liked the sketch – it was a great presentation, full of info, and could easily have gone another hour; the audience was that engaged. And I was delighted to meet Angela!
One small correction: the software is actually Autodesk SketchBook Pro. (Brushes merits its own props – it’s been used to create New Yorker magazine covers.)
Thanks for posting this!
OOPS! Thanks for the correction, Rob, and thanks for the props on our presentation. We appreciate it! If you chat with others who were there, we are open to questions by email, Twitter and our Facebook fan page.
Best,
Angela for The Book Broads
