Angela (Book Marketing)
Angela Crocker has twenty years experience in the literary and performing arts in Metro Vancouver. She is known for her big smile, endless patience, masterful organization, and attention to detail. She also has a love of reading, a passion for theatre and a healthy addiction to tech gadgets.
A graduate of Simon Fraser University, Angela holds an Honours degree in Communications with a minor in publishing from the Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing as well as a Certificate in Liberal Arts.
During her career Angela has worked in both communications and fundraising roles for organizations such as the Association of Book Publishers of British Columbia, The Book Company, Whitecap Books, the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, the Playhouse Theatre Company and the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival.
Throughout her career, Angela has volunteered on many committees and projects. From the Book Promoters Association of Canada and the Red Cedar Awards to Coastal Sound Music Academy and, more recently, the Port Moody Foundation and the Minerva Foundation for BC Women, Angela enjoys contributing her talents to professional organizations and community groups.
Always happy with a new high tech gadget, Angela was an early adopter for many technologies including UNIX-based ELM email in 1990, the PalmPilot while still owned by US Robotics and bulletin boards. Today, she is a daily user of Facebook, Twitter and many other social media sites in addition to the now common email and web browsing.
On a personal level, Angela delights in time spent with her husband, Paul, their young son and extended family. She also enjoys spending time doing papercrafts, singing in a choir and beachcombing.
